Captain
Harold Bourne MC had that rare distinction of fighting in both the Great War
and World War 2. As a temporary 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers, he had
been awarded the MC in 1918, having been gazetted 3rd June 1918, so research
should show that this was for the German Spring Offensive of 1918. |
In World War
Two he was a member of the Royal Engineers, but died 7th September 1944 aged 57
and is remembered on Panel 8 the Manchester Crematorium |
