Frank was a private in the 2nd/5th Batt Lincolnshire Regt, he was killed 26/09/1917 aged 19 on the Ypres Salient. He is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial
Up to 25/09/1917 fought in the Battle of Menin Road From 26/09/1917 involved in the Battle of Polygon Wood
He was the son of Frank and Alice Ridgewell of Stock Rectory Cottage. His Dad was 42 a groom and domestic gardener and was originally from Purleigh and his mum was 45 and had been born in Stock according to the 1901 Census.
Frank had three sisters and 1 brother Frederick, Edith 6 Laura 8 and Mary 12 (at the time of the 1901 Census). Frank was the youngest of the family.
