Arthur Newstead Falkner was a Captain in the 8th battalion The Loyal North Lancashire Regt, who died of wounds 20thJuly 1916 and is buried in St Sever Cemetery Rouen, he was 43.
Arthur was the son of the Rev. Robert and Henrietta Falkner, and had two sisters, Ethel and Kathleen. According to the 1901 Census Arthur was born in Tiperary and was a member of the Stock Exchange. He was married to Irene and lived at The Hoppit Great Waltham. Arthur had served with the Roberts Horse in the Boer War.
