Trafalgar Day
A planned celebration for the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar (October 21st) and the death (and Victory) of Admiral Lord Nelson
The Village Hall has been booked from 6pm to 11.30pm on Trafalgar Day and from 8am to 4.30pm on the following day, Saturday 22nd
There will be two principal events, an exhibition in the committee room and a Traqfalgar Night Dinner and entertainment in the main hall.

Items for sale if the exhibitors wish. No charge but a 10% contribution required from sales to help defray expenses.
RECEPTION
From 6.30 pm in the Exhibition Room by King Neptune (and his Court)
Sherry and (separately) orange juice to be offered (with Gin available at a supplementary cost)
Local Press and photographers, exhibitors (other than school children) to be invited.
Raffle tickets sold.
DINNER
Tables of eight: each paying £25
Catering by Jeans, three courses plus Coffee from menu preselected by table captain.
7.30pm start, 10.30pm finish to give time stow away and sweep up before 11.30.
The wearing of maritime fancy dress to be encouraged (parade and prizes)

No charge but bucket by door for contributions by visitors to expenses.
Hall Decoration
Fellowship Afloat to provide bunting, signal flags (England Expects), large ship's wheel,4 pinnacle, small dingy etc. It is hoped that these can be delivered to Stock School a fortnight before Trafalgar Day as objects for the children to incorporate in their drawings and paintings for the exhibition.
Books, paintings and artefacts on loan from Stock residents and friends.

Volunteering will not involve attendance at committee meetings, there is no committee! It is my intention to issue revised additions of this memorandum from time to time as necessary, with amendments side-lined for easy reference
