Many People in the village will be sad to hear that Joan and Bert
Harvey will be leaving Stock in March when they will be moving to Baldock in
Hertfordshire to be near their daughter. Joan and Bert are well known in Stock,
having lived here for over 50 years and will be remembered with great
affection.
They ran the village store for a number of years and Joan is well
known for her paintings and also served faithfully as the sacristan at All
Saints' Church. |
| The congregation of All Saints' Church will be throwing a
farewell party for them on Sunday 14th March after the Solemn Mass and
cordially invite anyone in the village to join them at Joan and Bert's last
service here at 10.15 and afterwards at the Rectory Hall. |
| As a parting gift to Joan and Bert, Stan Elgar and Andrew Pepper
of the Mill Camera group (1 Rectory Close) have proposed an Album of stock
scenes and people. He will take photographs of individuals and groups for a
small charge of £10 which will be mounted in the album along with a few
words of title and/or greeting. Please email Andrew for an appointment, Andrew
will also have his camera set up at the on the 14th. |

email or in RTF format. |
| It is planned that the album will be displayed at the camera
club's annual exhibition before it
is delivered to Joan and Bert at their new home. Copies of photographs will be
available for a fee. It will also be on this web site in some form. |
